What a memorial costs

Your monumental mason quotes the memorial itself, GST included, with the engraving in it. No per-letter fees. Ever.

Designing costs nothing. The preview, the link you send your family and the download are all free, and they stay free... the design on your screen is the proof, so there is no proof to pay for.

How you pay for it

$120 to us when you are ready... the memorial proof. Your monumental mason invoices the memorial itself, directly, on their terms.

We never hold the money for the stone itself. LetterStone does not build memorials, so the firm that does is the firm that bills you and stands behind the work.

The four memorials at the same scale, beside somebody standing. Drawn from the sizes we actually build.

What is not in the price

The council’s permit: At cost, whatever the council charges. It differs by cemetery and some charge nothing at all, so the figure for the one you choose is shown while you design.
Silver leaf and gold leaf: Real leaf laid into the cut letters by hand. The lettering itself is free... leaf is the one thing priced per letter, always on its own line with the count shown.

The memorial proof

The same $120 whether or not you choose a mason from our directory. If you would rather take it to a firm of your own, or one you have used before, it contains everything they need to quote and build your memorial anywhere in New Zealand.
